Louisville will be without their big playmaker for at least the beginning of the season. He was injured during Friday’s practice and it was revealed today that he has a broken bone in his foot and will need surgery:

Coach Petrino says he is taking it all in stride:
“He’s such a calm guy, you wouldn’t know that it really bothers him that much, and obviously it does,” Petrino said of Parker. “He’s a great competitor and a great player. He took it better than I probably did.”
Parker led the team in TD catches with a school record of 12 last season. The hope is that he can return later in the year.
