Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon has been suspended for the entire season, stemming from an incident where he punched a woman after she slapped him:

To be completely honest, in my mind there is no excuse for punching a woman and breaking her jaw even if she hit you first. As a man, you have to know that. Especially when you are in a position like Mixon where you could be kicked off the team. She shouldn’t have put her hands on him either but a punch from a man does not equal a slap from a woman period.
People have to learn to walk away.
