When you’re in the process rebuilding, while losing one of the best players in franchise history, trading away a former No. 1 overall pick isn’t the way to go.
Multiple reports indicate that Minnesota will keep the 2013 No. 1 overall pick, Anthony Bennett, rather than trading him to the Philadelphia 76ers for forward Thaddeus Young.
Just a reminder: if you keep reading Bennett is headed to Philly for Young in forthcoming trade…don't believe it.

Wolves beat guys have been all over this, but FWIW, have heard from 2 sources Anthony Bennett staying in Minny, Thad Young still going there

A third source confirms Anthony Bennett is staying in Minnesota, not heading to Philly.

Trading Bennett seemed like a knee jerk reaction from the beginning. With Zach LaVine and 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins on board, the only team younger than Minnesota will be the 76ers. It makes sense to let Wiggins play, and see if he pans out.
