Dave Bautista appeared on Chris Jericho’s podcast, Talk is Jericho, to speak about his latest run with the WWE, Daniel Bryan, and his blockbuster hit Guardians of the Galaxy. Here’s a small sample.

I was like, ‘First night back and you can’t give me five minutes in the ring by myself in front of the fans? I told them from the very beginning [making me a babyface] isn’t going to work. There is no doubt in my mind that the Batista character can still work. The guy is big and draws the boos from the crowd. The reason this run looks so bad is because the WWE wanted to portray him as the returning hero while the WWE Universe wanted to hate him. That’s where Batista is best suited. Hopefully if he does come back again, Batista can be handled better and allowed to distance himself from those awful few months.
