The folks at Facebook decided to grace us with an awesome map breaking down football team appreciation by state. Facebook was able to track this by the number of likes each team has. The findings seem pretty typical of where you would expect to find team loyalty, but one thing that definitely stood out was the lack of support for the New York Jets.
This was pretty incredulous to me. How could there be not one county in the entire United States that has overall support for this team? On game days Met Life Stadium seems pretty packed for the Jets.
There are four possible reasons for these findings:
1. Nobody really likes the Jets.
2. Their fans are afraid to admit public support.
3. Jets fans don’t have Facebook.
4. Jets fans don’t own computers.
Whatever is going on here is odd, but all you can really say is, “poor Jets!”
