Although Roger Goodell denied that the NFL ever had access to the Ray Rice domestic violence inside the elevator, recent developments state that this was a lie. In fact, the claims are that the NFL had the video since April. Prior to this information being released, several people, including United States Congress, called out Goodell for lying. In a new development, Roger Goodell has announced that ex-FBI director Robert Mueller III will be doing an independent investigation on the NFL’s investigation into the Ray Rice case.

Goodell pledges full cooperation to ex-FBI director Mueller, including access to all @NFL records. Final report will be made public.

This all sound good in theory, but an investigation done by someone hired by the NFL seems a little strange. However, if Goodell is promising full cooperation, maybe the public will finally get the transparency that the US Congress demanded.
