Nike was able to survive Under Armour’s attempt to steal Kevin Durant away, and they thanked ‘the baddest,’ ballplayer on the planet by throwing him an early Redskins-themed birthday party.
Durant won’t turn 26 until this coming Monday, but that didn’t stop them from going all out for Durant at the company’s Beaverton, Ore., campus last weekend.
The D.C. native’s birthday bash featured an enormous cake designed to look like the Oklahoma City Thunder’s court, including baskets on both ends. The cake was topped with a fondant Durant signature shoe and a custom No. 35 Redskins jersey.
Durant was also presented a pair of his signature shoes in Redskins colors.
