The Oakland Raiders have tabbed rookie Derek Carr the starting quarterback, despite previously stating Matt Schaub would open the season as the starter.
This is a wise decision by Oakland. Derek Carr exceeded expectations during the preseason and Schaub has continued to struggle after a rough 2013 campaign. Believe me Oakland, you don’t want them Schaublems.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen, "We made the decision to go with Derek Carr as the quarterback. It's not an indictment on Matt Schaub at all."
