The WWE’s Roman Reigns was set to take on Seth Rollins on Night of Champions tonight, but those plans have changed. We reported when Reigns was rushed to a Nashville hospital and had emergency surgery to repair an Incarcerated Hernia but here we hear it in his own words what happened. A video has posted with Reigns explaining how he went from being in pain to having to call 911 and ending up needing emergency surgery.
“Yesterday I was here in Nashville promoting Night of Champions and my match against Seth Rollins. I was laying in bed and all of a sudden I felt a really sharp pain right below my belly button in my bladder region. Tried to gut it out but it just kept getting worse so I ended up calling 911. They sent an ambulance and once I got to the hospital, the doctor said I had a hernia and I needed to go into emergency surgery and here I am now.”
This is a huge deal for the WWE right now who had major long term plans lined up for Roman Reigns. This is yet another one of their top guys out of action but hopefully Reigns gets better quick and returns to continue his push to stardom sooner rather than later. In this business if you’re gone for too long you lose all your momentum and have to start from scratch while another guy takes your spot. That’s the nature of the 24/7 365 wresting business.
