Troubled Ohio State tight end Marcus Baugh is in trouble yet again with the coaching staff. Baugh has already had multiple run ins with the law since making it to Columbus as part of the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting class and his latest troubles have cost him the first two games of the 2014 season. Baugh didn’t travel with the team to Baltimore for the opener against Navy and he won’t suit up this Saturday when Virginia Tech comes into town. When asked about the reason for Baugh’s suspension, Coach Urban Meyer gave an interesting reply.
Baugh didn’t make the trip to Baltimore for the Buckeyes’ 34-17 win over Navy on Saturday, and coach Urban Meyer said it was because he was serving the first of a two-game suspension.
Why?
“Stuff,” Meyer said.
Baugh was trying to prove to the coaching staff that he can be a positive member of the team after being busted for underage drinking for a second time in January. He seemed to be on the right track until now.
Stuff huh Urban? Whatever Baugh did Meyer clearly doesn’t want to put it out there, and at this point given his history it probably didn’t have to be much. Hopefully Baugh gets his act together before he flushes a great opportunity down the drain.
