There is a Snapchat photo circulating that allegedly shows Ole Miss star defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche smoking weed from a bong.
While the person in the photo certainly fits the physique of Robert Nkemdiche, there is no way of saying or knowing with absolute certainty that it is the Ole Miss star. The one thing that bothers me in particular about this photo circulating is the fact that rival fans are going out of their way to expose an athlete over something most college students do anyway.
This particular Tennessee fan is trying his hardest to get anyone’s attention so that he can potentially get a big name college player in trouble. If this picture was of some no name college student or some player we have never heard of this wouldn’t even be a story, but since it’s allegedly Robert Nkemdiche, lets blow this out of proportion and get a kid in trouble. What exactly do you gain as a fan by trying to expose this kid on social media? We have all done things we aren’t exactly proud and I’m sure we didn’t have people running to Twitter trying to tear down our image. While the person in the picture is smoking from a bong, there is no way of proving that there is any kind of drugs in the bong. Bongs are perfectly legal to buy and own anywhere in the country and are sold in smoke shops all across America. As I said before, it very well could be Robert Nkemdiche in the picture, there could be weed in that bong, but there is absolutely no way of proving it and trying to nail a kid to the wall with circumstantial evidence is not the way to go about things.
If it is indeed Nkemdiche, it is very dumb of him to doing anything that could jeopardize his eligibility, he needs to be very aware of the people who are around him, because they don’t have their best interest at heart if they are snapping photos like this.
