This is one of the most bizarre stories of the year.
The school released a statement that sophomore forward Devin Davis was injured after being struck by a vehicle driven by freshman Emmitt Holt just moments after exiting it.
Devin Davis is in critical condition. The Sophomore averaged 2.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game last season.
Holt was cited for illegal consumption and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content above 0.02. Holt registered a 0.025, according to the school. Someone is considered to be over the limit in Indiana if they have a BAC of at least .08 percent. If they are younger than 21 years old — as was the case with Holt — the limit is only .02 percent.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Davis.
