The Thunder did a pretty good job Sunday night limiting Steph Curry and Klay Thompson to a combined 35 points on an inefficient 11-of-35 shooting.
But in OKC’s 91-86 loss, it was big man Marreese Speights who did all the damage with a game-high 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting in only 25 minutes.
Sepights spent most of the night angry–woofing at the Thunder bench. He blamed it on “Kendrick Perkins being a fake tough guy.”
“It’s just that Perk always has something to say,” Speights told reporters postgame. “He thinks he’s a tough guy, but at the end of the day, his game is terrible. He always has something to say to me, every time we play against each other.”
“It always gets me going,” Speights said. “So shoutout to Perkins for helping me get this game.”
The Warriors and Thunder meet again on Dec. 18 at Golden State.
