Gregg Popovich understands that some of his star players are a little older and need to be rested once in awhile, so he’s not really concerned about TNT’s ratings Thursday night. The Spurs have decided to rest Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili for Thursday’s game against the Rockets, which is set to air on TNT.
No Belinelli (mild groin strain), Duncan (rest), Ginobili (rest), Mills (right shoulder) or Splitter (tightness right calf) v. HOU today.

The Spurs have been fines $250K for doing this in the past when they were scheduled to the play the LeBron-era Miami Heat on a TNT Thursday night game. Pop obviously isn’t phased.
