This just about sums up who the Indiana Pacers have become. Hibbert wouldn’t have been the final option on this play during any season, except this one.
There’s no way he should have been attempting the game winning three; he’s made six his entire career.
Without Lance Stephenson, Paul George, David West or George Hill as an option, Hibbert had no choice but to take the shot.
Instead of that core group, Hibbert was on the floor for that final play with C.J.Miles, Donald Sloan, Chris Copeland and Solomon Hill among others.
Hibbert was 0-7 from the floor on the night, including that final shot of the evening. It would have been the big centers seventh made three of his career.
