Now that Adrian Peterson has seen his day in court, he’s ready to suit up and join his team on the field.
Teammate and Minnesota Running Back Matt Asiata says Adrian has been texting him and he’s ready to go after his reinstatement hearing on Monday.
“He can’t wait to play,” running back Matt Asiata told Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Thursday. “He’s staying positive. He’s staying on the grind and just waiting for the call to come back. . . . He’s so competitive. He can’t wait to come back.”
“Being his friend and being close to him, I think so,” Asiata said. “He’s a great person, and he’s obviously a great football player. … I just told him we miss him around the game, and we can’t wait to get him back.”
Adrian can’t put on his jersey just yet with the arbitrator having the ability of 5 days to rule as well as the possibility of further repercussions by the NFL. Its going to be interesting to see how the NFL will play their cards on the Peterson case. It will set way for a precedent going forward and they have one chance to get it right without it biting them back down the road.
