John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens made the playoffs after defeating the Browns and watching the shorthanded Chiefs defeat the Chargers.
Afterwards, Harbaugh texted Chiefs head coach Andy Reid to thank him. Harbaugh, knowing how to properly gift a coach, Â promised to take his former boss out to dinner.
“I promised Andy dinner and he responded very favorably to that,” Harbaugh said Monday. “It probably won’t be cheap.”
“From what I saw of the highlights, they came through in some amazing situations,” Harbaugh said. “It speaks to the character to that and speaks to Andy Reid and the kind coaches on that staff.”
Harbaugh was an assistant to Reid for nine seasons when they were both with the Philadelphia Eagles. Had Reid and the Chiefs lost to the Chargers, the Ravens would’ve been eliminated from the postseason.
