Philadelphia is known as the city of brotherly love but it looks like Desean Jackson isn’t feeling it.
When Desean Jackson departed from the Eagles, it wasn’t on the best terms. He was being investigated as having gang ties as well as questionable characteristic traits and while he was cleared of the allegations, it still looms over him. He went to the Washington Redskins ready to start anew but with a failing record and the Eagles soaring, the obvious question has been asked to him… do you miss Philly?
“Nope. I don’t miss the team. I don’t miss the organization,” he said. “There’s no point in living in the past. This is my team. This is where I am for better or worse. Do you live in the past? It’s no way to live.”
“Didn’t you hear? I’m a gangster,” he said sarcastically. “I’m in a gang. That’s why I’m gone.”
Of course, Philadelphia disagrees with why Jackson is gone but one couldn’t help but think those allegations played a major part in their decision to let him go. Jackson meets his former team for the second time this season this Sunday.
