The Browns finally made a smart decision regarding their QB play. Brian Hoyer has been abysmal in his last 4 starts, throwing 8 interceptions and only 1 TD. The QB change has been long overdue. Hoyer has underperformed the last 4 games, causing the Browns to go on a 1-3 slide and completely jeopardize playoff chances in the jumbled AFC wildcard race. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is also reporting that the Browns were planning to switch to Johnny Manziel if they were out of the playoff hunt, even though at 7-6 they are “technically still in the hunt.”
#Browns planned to go with Manziel if they lost or were out of the playoffs. They lost but still were in playoff race. Went Manziel anyway — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 9, 2014
