The Golden State Warriors are off to an NBA-best 17-2 start, having won a franchise-record 12 consecutive games under new head coach Steve Kerr. Yet for some reason, Warriors owner Joe Lacob can’t stop talking about Mark Jackson, the man Lacob fired last summer.
While Jackson was a controversial figure among those inside the Warriors franchise, star point guard Steph Curry was one of his most ardent supporters, and Curry has been outspoken in recent days in response to Lacob’s remarks. The All-Star even went as far as to call Lacob a distraction earlier today according to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group.
Stephen Curry: Joe Lacob's comments are a distraction to what's going on with the team now. "(Mark Jackson) was such a great coach for us."

Curry does have a point. Rather than dwell on the past, Lacob should be enjoying his teams meteoric rise to the top of the standings and into the title picture. It’s been a long time since the Warriors were this good, and it will be interesting to see if the Jackson comments slow the teams momentum.
