Cena Saves His Title Shot
Shockingly, the Tables Match between John Cena and Seth Rollins wasn’t the main event of the night. Instead, the duo kicked off the second hour with a 35 minute brawl.
With J&J Security at his side, Rollins was able to thwart off almost every Cena attempt at even setting up a table throughout the match. As he often does, Super Cena eventually evened the odds by absolutely destroying both Mercury and Noble before taking it to Rollins on the outside.
Back inside the ring, a table is set up in the corner and another is in the center of the ring, but the referee is knocked outside of the ring and unable to see what happens inside. Cena tries to get Rollins, but Mr. Money in the Bank is a cross-fit expert who can just hop over your feeble attempts.

Cena eventually takes control though and picks up Rollins and AA’s him off the turnbuckle and through a table, only the ref is knocked out and doesn’t see it. So the match continues!
Mercury and Noble are quickly back in the ring and they beat Cena down before throwing out the evidence. Cena recovers and AA’s both members of J&J Security through a table! The odds are now evened and Rollins and Cena battle on the apron trying to throw their opponent through two tables ringside when…

Both men go through a table at the same exact time. The ref who is recovering ringside and witnesses it all, calls for the bell, only he has no idea who won. Two other refs come out to discuss and one raises Cena’s arm while the other raises Rollins, so the head ref decides to just restart the match entirely, since that makes more sense than the other refs telling him Cena won while he was knocked out.
Both men quickly look to gain the advantage, and Cena takes Rollins to the announce table and AA’s him onto it, only the table doesn’t break! And that’s when Michael Cole gave us the bump of the night.

As things continue to break down, Big Show makes his way out to the ring to ruin Cena’s night again. Show tosses Cena around and gets ready to chokeslam him through a table and give Rollins the wi— HEY THAT’S ROMAN REIGNS MUSIC!
The next ‘Next Big Thing’ makes his way through the crowd and delivers a huge Superman Punch to Big Show. You know what comes next folks…

Reigns celebrates but Rollins tries to sneak attack him from behind. The Superstar of the Year ducks and nails Mr. Money in the Bank with a Superman punch, then Rollins wobbles into Cena who AA’s him through a table for the win.
Cena celebrates and lets Paul Heyman know that it is indeed him who Lesnar will defend his title against at the Royal Rumble.

That’s right folks, Cena and Lesnar. Again. For the third time. But hey, on the bright side WWE is billing it as their final battle! Right.
