Bill Simmons is at it again, and this time he fired a salvo at Cris Collinsworth and Al Michael for complimenting Roger Goodell on his integrity after moving the NFL past the Ray Rice controversy.
Goodell attended Saturday night’s Ravens-Patriots playoff game, a couple of days after the Mueller Report was released, and the Sunday Night Football crew attempted to break down the fallout from the report.
After Michaels provided a brief summary, Collinsworth said, “The decision to suspend initially Ray Rice for two games was a mistake. Roger Goodell has admitted that, but I never once in all my dealings with the commissioner ever doubted his integrity and I think that came out in the report as well.”
You know that didn’t sit well with Simmons who has previously labeled Goodell a liar on several occasions. Simmons sent out a tweet that insinuated Michaels and Collinswoth were reading from a script.
I like Collinsworth and Michaels but come on. That was like listening to Michael Cole and JBL praising Vince McMahon.
