“The Notorious” Conor McGregor lived up to the hype in the octagon and on the ratings sheet with his domination of Dennis Siver at UFC Fight Night 59.

McGregor had an amazing PR push from the UFC and Fox leading up to his FS1 fight, which directly followed the two NFL playoff games last weekend. You couldn’t turn to a sports network without seeing Conor’s face or hearing his braggadocios promo.

It all paid off because McGregor-Siver became the most watched MMA event in Fox Sports 1 history and the 3rd most watched program in the network’s history.

MMAJunkie.com has the full scoop on the Fight Night 59 ratings:

According to FOX, Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 59 card was FOX Sports 1’s most-watched MMA event yet and the most-watched on cable since the UFC’s TUF 10 Finale in December 2009.

According to FOX, UFC Fight Night 59 was the top ad-supported cable program on Sunday, and No. 2 for all television outside NFL programming in the key male demographics from 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

In addition, during the main card, FOX Sports 1 was the top ad-supported cable network. Overall for the day, FOX Sports 1 averaged 522,000 viewers, making it its third best day ever.
