Dwyane Wade’s ex, Siohvaughn Funches, keeps him in the courtroom. She’s already lost custody of their two boys, but now she saying she was framed into losing.
According to NBC Chicago, Siovaughn filed a lawsuit saying that Wade’s attorney and Dolton County a police framed her into losing the custody battle. She is also claiming that when Dolton police arrived to her home in 2012 to arrest her for attempted child abduction, they attacked her to where she had injuries of a torn rotator cuff and asthma and panic attacks.
Though charges against Funches-Wade of resisting arrest and attempted child abduction were eventually dropped, U.S. District Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan wrote in a ruling published Thursday that “the fact that no convictions resulted in the following criminal proceedings does not mean that the police lacked probable cause to arrest Funches-Wade.”
Wade’s attorney, James Pritikin, had called police to Funches-Wades’ house, accusing her of violating a family court judge’s visitation order by keeping her kids from her ex, who she grew up with in south suburban Robbins.
But Der-Yeghiayan ruled, “There are no facts that plausibly suggest that Pritikin was lying to the police on behalf of his client.”
This lady just needs to let it go. Dragging each other in and out of court is only hurting the children in the end.
