Great news for Packers fans around the globe.
As good as QB Aaron Rodgers played on Sunday in Green Bay’s 26-21 playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys, he could be that much better next week in Seattle for the NFC championship game. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters on Monday afternoon that Rodgers’ strained left calf muscle made it through the win “very well”, and that he’s improving as the playoffs roll on:
“I saw him today. He’s getting better,” McCarthy said. “I think he feels better this time this week than he did last week.”
Rodgers went off on the Cowboys, going 24/35 for 316 yards passing and three touchdowns. If the Packers hope to have a chance in Seattle, they’ll need Rodgers to be that efficient, if not more.
One good leg or two, the Packers will need Aaron Rodgers to be on point again to have a chance to win in Seattle, and him getting healthier definitely increases the odds of that happening.
