I’m a huge fan of ‘Mount’ Cody, but the Baltimore Ravens have no room for error.
The Ravens announced they will release defensive tackle Terrence Cody following the Super Bowl. He’s reportedly under investigation for animal cruelty.
The Ravens announced Friday they will terminate the contract of nose tackle Terrence Cody after Super Bowl XLIX next Sunday.
Cody was set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 10.
Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reports Cody has yet to be charged with any crime related to the inquiry. He notes the case involves a dog, and the Ravens were aware of it before making the decision to cut him.
Cody is under investigation for animal cruelty, and the case is being discussed with the Baltimore County State’s attorney’s office, said Elise Armacost, the director of communications for Baltimore County police.
The former Alabama defensive tackle never panned out in Baltimore.
