You have to think these things through before you hit send. I know this probably sounded like a good idea this morning over coffee, but you have to think about how it will be perceived by others.
The Seahawks won a football game, no one is knocking them for being emotional afterwards, but it was just a game and shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath as Martin Luther King Jr or any of the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement.
I am sure they didn’t mean any harm, but sometimes you just need to know you lane or better yet stay out of lanes you obviously don’t understand anything about.
Someone had the good sense to have them to delete the Tweet, but the damage was done.
Wait, the Seattle Seahawks didn't do what I think they did with MLK's words…right?

But honestly, not only do I want the @Seahawks to delete that post, I think an apology is in order.

Dear @Seahawks : As a social media manager myself, I find it despicable that you liken your team winning a game to MLK's We shall overcome.
