The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers play a physical affair everytime they matchup, and tonights AFC Wildcard game is no exception.
Things got a little chippy after Steelers linebacker Jason Worilds pulled up on a punch, and ended up striking Ravens’ Crockett Gilmore with what looked like an open hand.
For those questioning whether Worilds should have been ejected after the hit, former NFL ref Mike Pereira weighed in to explain.
No ejection for an open hand blow to the face. That is specific in the rule. Closed fist blow is to be an ejection. That was open hand.

Here’s another angle. Worilds missed, and that’s why he’s still in the game.
