Auburn FBall Players Allegedly Call Veteran With Service Dog a B*tch

Auburn Football

Auburn football players Dontavius Russell and Andrew Williams allegedly harassed a veteran and her service dog to the point that she had a breakdown on campus and had to go home in the middle of her class. The players reportedly whistled and tried to distract the service dog and when she asked them not to they became confrontational with her and lobbed an expletive at her.

Two Auburn football players are accused of harassing a female veteran with PTSD and her service dog today on Auburn’s campus.

The players accused of taunting the veteran and her service dog are Defensive Tackle Dontavious Russell and defensive lineman Andrew Williams.

The story was spotted on a Facebook page called Service Dog Memes.

Crystal Stoddard, the sister of the victim of the harassment also took to Facebook.

We reached out to Auburn University and were told by Associate AD Cassie Arner that the university has contacted the parties involved in this incident and are investigating. Auburn does sound like they are taking the situation very seriously.

Let’s go ahead and assume they didn’t know that the victim in this case was a veteran, but mocking someone with a service dog? How ridiculous can you get? Harassing the disabled is about the most cowardly thing I can think of. The thing is, I and most normal people would never have thought of it. I hope Auburn gets a hold of these two guys and straightens them out.

If true, this is absolutely terrible and the players involved need to be punished. I don’t think they need to be kicked off the team, but they need to be made explain of and show that these types of actions carry punishments and they won’t be able to just do whatever they please.
