MLB will be racing to their check books this week because one of the bets Cuban prospects of all time is set to hit the market.
Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times is reporting that Yoan and his agent will select a team within the next two weeks.
Cuban prospect Yoan Moncada is expecting to field contract offers over the next two weeks and could sign with a team soon after, his agent said Tuesday.
‘I’m hoping, certainly, that by the end of next week, we’ll have a much clearer picture of where he will sign,’ said Moncada’s Florida-based representative, David Hastings.
‘I’m kind of hoping we’re at the final end of the process. I hope I will be able to get Yoan into a team’s spring-training practice as soon as possible.’
Yoan is said to be better than his predecessors Puig and Abreu, which means his asking price will reflect those predictions.
