Anthony Mason is fighting for his life and while his friends and family are in the worst of times a glimmer of hope comes through the dark. Don Cronson, who was Mason’s agent during his playing days, gave an update from Mason’s family.
Via ESPN,
“He isn’t out of the woods, but he’s had two good nights. It seems like he’s day-to-day now. Before it was hour-to-hour,” Cronson said. “Thankfully, the last two days have been better.”
Mason has had multiple surgeries after suffering “congestive heart failure”. The heart is a very strange and delicate muscle in our body. In these cases it is very up in the air which way this will go but we should hold on to hope that he is at least progressing in a positive direction as opposed to slipping further. The ex-Knick was a Pat Riley disciple and anyone that was a fan of the NBA from the mid to late 90’s knows Mason is a fighter. Let’s hope he can continue to fight this.
