John Wall has grown into an amazing young NBA point guard — after dealing with some maturity issues during his first couple of season in the show.

Wall recently shared some advice with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III about dealing with criticism on social media.

Wall made the comments in an interview with Hot 97 radio in New York.

Wall entered the NBA in 2010 as the top overall draft pick after a year at Kentucky. Griffin began his pro career with Washington in 2012 after the team drafted him out of Baylor with the No. 2 pick.

After RG3 caught heat for debating a critic in the comments of an Instagram post last week, reporters asked Wizards point guard John Wall for his thoughts on dealing with criticism on social media.

“That’s something that comes with the territory,” said Wall, who has dealt with his fair share of detractors since arriving in D.C. in 2010.

Wall didn’t specifically address Griffin’s incident in his comments to the media — telling New York’s Hot 97 Morning Show co-host Peter Rosenberg that he has offered Griffin some advice on the matter.

“He just texted me the other day,” Wall told Rosenberg on Thursday. “I said something about…the media asked me how do I feel about certain media people bashing him on Twitter and Instagram, and I [said], ‘There’s nothing you can do about that. It’s a part of the world we live in. Social media is where people let their frustrations and anger out at, and I [said], I deal with it all the time.’ I had a bad game [Wednesday], I missed the game-winning three. Everybody say, ‘Well, why you taking the game-winning shot? Well, why you get to play?’ I’m cool with that. I have the confidence and believe in my ability to do certain things.

“What I told him is, ‘You can’t tell people or judge people what their opinion is. All you can do is focus on trying to get better.’ And he said, ‘Appreciate the words of encouragement. All I’m going to do is try to get better and bring the city back on my side.’ And that’s all you can do. As long as you know you’re giving 110 percent effort on that field, and between those lines, can’t nobody criticize you.”
