Whether you hate him or love him, Kanye West is one of the greatest visionaries of out time. From music, to fashion, and now to the world of gaming the 35-year old’s creativity has no limits. According to reports, West is developing his own video game in honor of his late mother.
“The idea is that it’s my mother going through the gates of heaven,” said West in a radio interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. ”You’ve got to bring her to the highest gate of heaven by holding her to the light.”
West’s mother Donda West passed away in 2007 due to complications after having cosmetic surgery. He also mentions that the game would be an adaptation of his recent single “Only One, a song that features a hypothetical chat between his daughter North and her the grandmother she never got to meet. Despite how you feel about Kanye West you have to appreciate his willingness to step out of the box most hip hop artists stay in.
There’s no timetable for the release but Ye says it’s in the development stage.
