LeBron Forgets McDonald’s Pays Him & Says Their Food is Unhealthy

LeBron James does a great job of speaking to the media. With all the hype his name carried back in 2003 when he entered the NBA, he was instantly thrown into the fire and forced to give endless amounts of interviews with hundreds of media members around. He always stays composed, never gets out of his element and seem to think out everything before he speaks, until now.

LeBron had his first known slip of the tongue today, when he was asked about his diet and at what age he started taking weight lifting serious.

Umm, 24, I ate McDonald’s my first couple years in the NBA. I didn’t stretch. It didn’t matter. I was 18 and I could do whatever I wanted to.”

James quickly noticed the slip of the tongue and how his comments could be taking in a negative way. LeBron was later asked when was the last time he ate McDonald and he did his best back-pedaling impression.

Every day. Every day. Every day, I had it this morning. Egg and sausage McMuffin. All day.”

McDonald’s as a corporation can’t be naive to the fact that they are viewed by many as an unhealthy food choice but they probably won’t think much of Lebron’s comments. I honestly don’t think this will cause LeBron to lose his endorsement or receive much backlash because he is still the face of the NBA and McDonald’s makes more money off his name than this comment will cost them.
