Doug Baldwin has really sparked up some controversy in regards to his Super Bowl touchdown celebration that NOBODY got to see live.
Turns out that a deceased woman is the culprit that robbed us all of seeing the celebration that garnered a 15 yard penalty. Yes you read right, a deceased woman.
How could that happen? Are Ghosts real now? Do we need to be worried? Nope, not at all, and here’s why:
NBC Technical Director John Howard, better know to the common fan as “The Man in the Truck” made the split second decision to cut away from Baldwin’s action because his mother told him to do so.
You see as we learn from Deadspin.com Howard claims, his deceased mother Dawn Howard, is his guardian angel who looks out for him and helps him to make good wholesome decisions that will protect the viewing audience. Howard states:
“And to my guardian angel, Dawn Howard, I continue to feel you and hear your voice in every thing I do…all the way do to the subtle “Hey, be careful…that idiot who just scored is gonna pretend to drop his pants and poop out a football…you may want to hasten that cut,”
Personally I would’ve liked to have seen the celebration first hand so I would’ve had a better idea as to what the Seahawks were getting penalized for, but I guess I’m glad Mr. Howard is still able to have some sort of connection with his mother.
Hopefully, if Howard is put in the position to work another high profile game like this he does the viewing world a favor and allows us to use our own viewing discretion instead of robbing the world of a petty touchdown celebration.
