If you didn’t already know how dominant Novak Djokovic is at the Australian Open, let’s remind you that he’s now won 32 of his last 33 matches in the land down under. When the finals began, it looked like it would be an epic 5 set showdown between Murray and Djokovic. Djokovic took the first set 7-6, then Murray followed suit in the second set with a 6-7 win.
It was over after that, however. Djokovic’s Australian Open dominance began to shine, and he took the next two sets 6-3 and then 6-0. With the win, Djokovic claims his 5th career Australian Open and 8th career major title. Murray has not beaten Djokovic since 2013.
