Peyton Manning Doesn’t Want Broncos to Break Up With Him

Peyton Manning Flu Game

The question of whether or not Peyton Manning will be a Bronco next season may have reached a resolution. Manning and team executives met on Thursday, and Manning informed everyone that he is both “mentally and physically” ready to play in 2015.

Manning took it upon himself to get a comprehensive evaluation from a renowned performance manager and trainer, Mackie Shilstone, during the past 2½ weeks in New Orleans. Shilstone, who was worked with several elite athletes in the latter stages of their careers, has given the quarterback a strong assessment based on numerous workouts and tests, a source said.

The quad injury that plagued Manning at the end of the 2014 season is fully healed

Now, this doesn’t mean that everything is all decided. There may be some restructuring of Manning’s contract along with a mandatory physical exam as stipulated by his contract. John Elway has made it known that he wants Manning to return. However, there are clearly some things that need to be resolved on both sides.
