The Baltimore Ravens are in tough spot, Haloti Ngata is still a productive lineman be he’s a few years removed from his prime. Do they pay him like an elite DT or do they cut him and use the money elsewhere?
A question every NFL team faces.
The Ravens seem to be giving Ngata the option to walk or to stay:
The Baltimore Sun is reporting that the Ravens want to negotiate a new contract with Ngata, and that if they can’t get that done,Ngata will have to find another place to finish his career.
That news doesn’t come as a big surprise. The Ravens’ website noted in December that there’s no guarantee Ngata will be back in 2015, and that the Ravens might cut him this offseason.
I’m sure teams will be lining up to sign Ngata if he is cut from the Ravens. Keep your eye on Rex Ryan in Buffalo. Ngata would add another huge piece to that D-line.
