The Wizards will finally get the help at backup point guard that they need. Washinton has been in dire need for PG help with the 38 year old Andre Miller’s skills rapidly declining. Sessions will giove the Wizards a little bit of explosion in their second unit, and can even create his own shot in crunch time. The 28 year old guard, had been buried on the bench for the rebuilding Kings, and now will have the opportunity to contribute to a playoff contender. Andre Miller will be reunited with one of his favorite coaches George Karl, in Sacramento. Miller averages 3.6 points, 2.8 assists and 12.3 minutes in 51 games for the Wizards this season, while Sessions averages 5.4 points and 2.7 assists in 36 games for the Kings this season. The impact of this trade will most likely be felt on the defensive end for the Wizards. While Sessions is not known as an elite defender by any stretch, he can at least stay in front of backup point guards, which the Wizards felt like Miller couldn’t do.

Wizards just felt Miller could no longer stay in front of good backup guards like Aaron Brooks that they might see in playoffs.
