Thomas Robinson was once so highly thought of he was the No. 5 pick in the 2012 draft, taken in front of guys like Damian Lillard and Andre Drummond.
Now the former Kansas star is set to join his sixth team in that time span.
Robinson was sent from Portland to Denver as part of the Arron Afflalo trade — where the Nuggets promptly bought out his contract — thus waiving him.
Robinson had planned to sign with the Brooklyn Nets for the rest of the season.
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Sixers will claim Robinson for the rest of the season — so they can get near 90% of the cap.
The 76ers have placed a claim on Thomas Robinson, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. He'll belong to Philadelphia at 5 PM ET.

Sixers need to reach 90 percent of cap before season's end. Robinson's salary gets it there. If not, shortfall divided among rest of roster.
