When you are presented with a slew of scholarship offers as a recruit, it can be very difficult for a high school senior to choose where he wants to go for the next four years. Sometimes it is so close that the recruit literally makes the decision just before announcing.
In Chris Warren’s case it came down to the home state Texas Longhorns and the Washington Huskies where he also has family in the Seattle area. In Warren’s case, he used a coin flip on stage to pick where he was going.
I would have loved to have been in the war rooms when Warren flipped that coin. That’s a brutal way for a program to find out they are losing out on a big time talent. Texas got them one heck of a running back in Warren.
