Antonio Cromartie is a free agent and shopping his talents pretty hard to Jerry Jones. Cromartie appeared on ESPN’s First Take on Tuesday and had some pretty high regard for himself.
“They’re only missing one key piece and that’s the piece in the secondary, and I feel like I can be that piece to help and go in and win a championship and get the Dallas Cowboys back where they’re supposed to be.”
One person who definitely disagrees with Cromartie, is 3 time Super Bowl champ and hall of fame TE Shannon Sharpe. He reacted to Cromartie’s comments on Twitter and added in that he felt Cromartie may have been giving himself a Deion Sanders-like reference.
Now in all fairness, Cromartie never actually said Deion Sanders in his sentence, but many felt the reference was definitely there. He did have a pretty decent 2014 season finishing with 48 tackles and 3 INTs, so there is value in him. However, NFL teams and Cromartie may not agree on how valued he is with a team. Either way, free agency continues for him, and we can only sit back and watch how it plays out.
