The Kansas City Chiefs have used their franchise tag on 26 year old linebacker Justin Houston according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Houston led the NFL with 22 sacks last season. Houston is a great pass rusher who was able to get at least one sack in 13 of the Chiefs’ 16 games. He also made his third straight Pro Bowl this season, even though he was unable to play due to illness.
The deadline for teams to use the franchise tag is today at 4 p.m. ET.
