After 8 years away from Minnesota, Kevin Garnett’s presence back in a Timberwolves uniform is giving fans something to cheer for both on and off the court. The T-Wolves face off against the Clippers on Monday, so KG decided to show his appreciation to the fans of the team he left so many years ago.
Garnett had purchased a thousand tickets for the game against the Clippers as a giveaway to fans. According to Rachel Nichols, Garnett and the T-Wolves will have a giveaway on the team’s site tomorrow.
“The response and support I’ve received from Wolves fans since my return to Minnesota has been nothing short of amazing. It’s been unbelievable,” said Garnett. “As a gesture of thanks, I would like to treat some fans to Monday night’s game against the Clippers. Love you all, and thanks for the love. Enjoy the game on me.”
Tickets will be available at 9 a.m. on Monday. The first 500 fans to visit www.timberwolves.com/kg will get two tickets. The lucky winners can then get their tickets at the Target Center between 4-6 p.m. on Monday. It’s always a good thing when players reach out to fans in positive ways.
