Wish I knew how a video as sensitive as this, that was taken in the privacy of Wayne Rooney’s home, was able to land into the hands of English newspaper The Sun, because this is pretty embarrassing for the England and Manchester United captain.
So apparently this incident between Rooney and former United teammate Phil Bardsley took place on February 22, a few days after Red Devils had lost to Swansea City. The video shows the two sparring for several seconds in Rooney’s kitchen before the United forward took a jab to the chin that knocked him out instantly.
Now it is well known that Rooney is big boxing fan, once saying that Mike Tyson is his favorite athlete of all time, but in light of recent events I think it would be in his best interests to stick to just playing soccer.

The good news for United fans is that six days following this incident Rooney scored two goals against Sunderland so he good.
