Yes, you read that headline right. Former Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, will be fighting former boxing champion, Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield in a charity boxing match in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 15th. So thirteen days after Mayweather vs Pacquiao on May 2nd, you will witness Romney vs Holyfield I.
Via Salt Lake Tribune,
“It will either be a very short fight, or I will be knocked unconscious,” Romney quipped in an interview recently. “It won’t be much of a fight. We’ll both suit up and get in the ring and spar around a little bit.”
The fight will be to benefit CharityVision, a non-profit that helps people with vision impairment. Romney, who is 68 years old, is actually taller than the 52-year old Holyfield. I am sure Holyfield will take it easy on Romney. A knockout either way would make for great video. I would donate to charity for that.
