The Dallas Mavericks currently sit as the 7th seed in the western conference. Last night, they were dominated 94-76 by the San Antonio Spurs.
Now, Dallas trails San Antonio by 1.5 games and to make matters worse, they may have to be without leading scorer Monta Ellis for a while.
“He’s on crutches, which is never good,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “So he appears to be very doubtful for tomorrow. We don’t think it’s serious. But we are concerned.”
Ellis’ streak of 237 consecutive games played is likely to come to an end tonight as the Mavs face the Indiana Pacers.
There’s no timetable for Ellis’ return.
