The JW Marriott Indianapolis will feature a 165-foot tall bracket to jump start the 2015 NCAA men’s March Madness tournament.
According to the NCAA, the bracket installation began on Tuesday and will continue through Selection Sunday. The bracket will be on the JW Marriott throughout March Madness and the Final Four.
JoAn Scott, NCAA director of men’s basketball championships, speaks on the decorative bracket.
“Indianapolis has a great history of hosting the NCAA Final Four and providing a one-of-a-kind championship experience for college athletes. We want to get everyone excited for the Final Four and what better way to do this than by putting a larger-than-life bracket display in the city.”
Teams selected for the tournament will have the chance to see their 4-foot-high names plates elevated on to the bracket via video. Fans will also be able to track the progress of the installation and see updates as teams advance in the tournament.
