This country is filled with so many bad apples that make it hard for the rest of us to simply get along and co-exist.
A threat was made against Princeton Tigers forward Leslie Robinson, the niece of President Barack Obama, before Monday night’s NCAA women’s tournament game between the Tigers and Maryland , according to Christine Brennan of USA Today.
Brennan cited a source who had “knowledge of the threat who was not authorized to speak publicly because of security issues”:
An eight-minute voicemail was received at the University of Maryland athletic department offices this afternoon in which a woman said a man was driving on campus with a Glock handgun in his possession, the person said.
The caller linked the man’s appearance on campus to tonight’s game and Leslie Robinson, the daughter of Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama’s brother, who is a freshman forward at Princeton. She was not told of the threat, the person said, but Princeton coach Courtney Banghart was aware of it.
Obama attended Princeton’s first-round win over the Green Bay Phoenix this past Saturday but elected not to appear for Monday’s matchup.
She appeared in 26 games, playing 9.6 minutes a night and averaging three points and 2.5 rebounds a game entering Monday. Robinson didn’t play in Princeton’s opening-round victory.
