Ever did something that you regret? I know I have, and so does German based shoe and apparel company Adidas. In 1984, Michael Jordan was just another great basketball player at UNC Chapel Hill with dreams of inking a shoe sponsorship deal with one company in particular — Adidas.
Adidas reps overseas at the time however did not want to sign Jordan to a deal. They felt like big centers would be the best selling point and skipped over the eventual legend MJ.

So MJ went elsewhere, to another competitor, Nike. Seems to me that MJ made the best choice, especially after recently being named a billionaire on a Forbes list.
How do you think the future of Adidas and Michael Jordan would have been if they inked the deal in 1984?
